What if Chelsea do get relegated?

Chelsea is one point above relegation zone, Read The Game would get a red card for not writing about that. And a fine. And a ban. A soccer blog gotta talk about Chelsea's season and that's exactly what we're going to do today. Tighten up your cleats, Chelsea fans.

For as long as we can remember The Blues has been one of the power houses in England-- in Europe. Just last season they won the League with an eight point advantage over Manchester City.

Eden Hazard won the Premier League Player of the Year. Diego Costa was the third top-scorer of the league with 20 goals. Chelsea's defense conceded the least goals in the league.

They didn't change much of last year's championship roster but this season is a complete turnaround for them. Either they did the Cruyff Turn or La Roulette de Zidane.

Hazard haven't scored a goal all-season long. Costa only netted three, when at this time last year he scored 12. Branislav Ivanovic's tackling success went down from 90% to 78%. Costa claims that defenders are sleeping on the pitch.

Costa's reaction after Jamie Vardy scored the
opener for Leicester in a 2-1 loss for Chelsea
                                   last Monday.

Christmas is coming up, Costa. This would be a good gift for your defenders:

Only three teams has conceded more goals than Chelsea, the three teams in relegation zone: Norwich, Sunderland and Aston Villa.

And guess who's The Blues' coach--or was? The Specail One, Jose Mourinho. His specialty couldn't pull out the right tactic to fix this blue mess. Sadly, he a just got sacked today. He did want to stay, two days ago he said: "I want to stay. I want to stay. I hope Mr [ Roman] Abramovich and the board want me to stay because I want to stay." [Goal.com]

But today the Chelsea bosses say that they sacked him "by mutual consent." Mourinho called his last season at Chelsea "an amazing learning process" on an interview on BT Sport [goal.com] and later added: "I'm better than I thought." That's Mourinho for you.

At the end of of the day,  Chelsea is in 16th place. Chelsea supporters struggle to find their team in the standings. Read this fact from a Chelsea fan on footyroom.com:

Fact : No matter how big your phone screen is..........you still have to scroll down to see Chelsea's league position

His comment had 137 likes by the way. 16th place, only one point above the dangerous red zone at the bottom of the table. Former coach Mourinho insisted that Chelsea might be around the regulation zone but they're not in a regulation zone battle. Meaning that there's no way they will get relegated.

And that's what we think: it's Chelsea, they're not going to get relegated, they're going to get back up. That's our football thoughts. Football is not a game of thoughts it's a game of stats. All stats show that Chelsea will get relegated. Let's take a look at three of them:

1. Sky Sports News HQ tweetd on Nov. 8.

Follow
have two more defeats and a worse goal difference than Hull did this time last year. Hull were relegated

2.   Sportingintelligence tweeted on Nov 7 2015:

The last time Chelsea lost 7 of their first 12 league games, this was the end of season table. 1978-79. Relegated.

Chelsea went on to losing two more games after Nov. 7.

3. A Premier League team did win the league then got relegated the next year, that was Manchester City in 1936-37.

What if Chelsea do get relegated? Ponder on that thought, football fans. Imagine John Terry in the championship... Breathe, Chelsea fans. Whoever is going to take over after Mourinho; Guus Hiddink, Brendan Rodgers, Juande Ramos. Good luck.

At least Chelsea is still in the Champions League.
