European leagues weekend recap-countdown

Liverpool players, alongside manager Jurgen Klopp, celebrate Adam Lallana's 95th-minute
    winner versus Norwich at Anfield.

5-4, 3-2, 1-0. We can make a countdown out of some of last weekend's scores. The scores are respectively: Liverpool vs Norwich (you knew that one), Granada vs Getafe, Juventus vs Roma. Beautiful, right?

But you know what's more beautiful? A countdown out of last weekend's stats. Check this out:

10. Ten for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain who was born on Dec. 10 1985. The Argentine striker  tallied 21 goals in 20 Serie A appearances this season after netting against Sampdoria on Sunday. Napoli defeated Sampdoria away from home 4-2.

9. Nine for: Arsenal haven't defeated Chelsea in nine Premier League games, losing to the Gunners 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. Last time Arsenal scored against Chelsea in the league was in 2013 when the Blues were under manager Rafael Benitez.

8. Eight for: Atletico Madrid conceded only eight goals in La Liga (in 21 games) as they racked another clean sheet against Sevilla in a 0-0 draw on Sunday. Diego Simeone's side conceded the least goals in all of Europe top-flight leagues.

However, Atleti is second to Barcelona, who have a game in hand, and conceded two times more goals than them, 16. Imagine if Atletico's defense was as good as their offense-- scary.

7. Seven for: Real Betis goalkeeper Antonio Adan performed seven saves against Spanish giants and former team Real Madrid to hold Los Blancos to a 1-1 draw on Sunday at Estadio Benito Villamarino. Adan played for Madrid from 2010 to 2013, making seven appearances.

Three years in Madrid's training ground, that's all the time he needed to learn how to read the players' shots.

6. Six for: Serie A leaders Napoli haven't lost a league game since Dec. 6. When you have Higuain scoring more goals than games played what do you expect.

5. Five for: Manchester United coach Louis van Gaal managed to go five games unbeaten to appease all criticism about him. Unfortunately, his side lost to Southampton 1-0 on Saturday to bring back the "Van Gaal must go" drama. United sits in fifth place, five points under the top four.

4. Four for Forza Juve! The Italian champions overcame one of their worst start of the club's history, in which they won only one out of their first six Serie A matches.

Massimilano Allegri's side haven't lost nor tied a Serie A game in almost three months now. Juventus is only two points shy of first placed Napoli. Now that's what I call a come back. Go on, Juve!

3. Three for: Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana tallied his third goal of the season on Saturday as he netted a 95th-minute game winning goal against Norwich. What a way to bag your third goal of the season. Three is the magic number.

2. Two for: French side Paris Saint Germain scored two of the most exquisite goals we saw last weekend. Gregory van der Wiel only tapped the ball in an empty net, but this got to be one of the best team goal we've witnessed in years:

You can't even score a goal like that when you play your little brother in FIFA.

And Di Maria's volley from outside the box:

1. One for: Leicester are back to first place as they topped Stoke City 3-0 on Saturday. Jamie Vardy scored, the Foxes won-- I guess Forrest Gump is still running, right Claudio Ranieri?
